Using Amazon FireTV Stick for Announcements

Overview

The Amazon Fire TV Stick works with older TVs that don’t have built-in smart features — as long as the TV has an HDMI port.
If your TV is displaying announcement boards or used for building or community updates, you can use the Fire TV Stick to easily show your digital announcements, streaming content, or presentations on screen.

It’s a convenient, plug-and-play way to turn any standard TV into a smart display for your announcement system.

How to Set It Up

1. Plug in the Fire TV Stick

   • Insert it into an available HDMI port on your TV.

   • Connect the USB power cable to the included power adapter.

2. Switch TV Input

   • Use your TV remote to select the HDMI input where the stick is plugged in.

3. Connect to Wi-Fi

   • Follow the on-screen prompts to select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password.

4. Sign In or Register

   • Sign in with your Amazon account (or create one if new).

5. Install Apps

   • Use the Amazon Appstore to download your preferred streaming apps (Netflix, Disney+, YouTube, etc.).
